Summer Bucket List

The kids and I sat down and made a list of all the thing we want to do this summer and created our summer bucket list. Last year we made a list and checked off the things. This year, thanks to Pinterest I found a great idea with popsicle sticks from The Home Teacher.



I took the idea and adapted it to me and the boys. Here is what our bucket looks like

I have blue, red, yellow and green sticks. Blue is an activity that is 1/2 a day or a full day and may have a cost factor with it like visit a museum. Red is an activity that is local and has a small cost factor like go out for ice cream. Yellow is a local activity that is free like visit a splash park and green is a free activity that we can do at home like make bubbles.
Here are some of the bucket list activities we have planned so far. I hope to add more when we come up with ideas

Blue Sticks: 
Sleep over at family
Santa's Village
Sting Ray Bay waterpark
Legoland
Go to the zoo
Children Museum

Red Sticks
Make a volcano
Go out for ice cream
Make a bird feeder
Go to a movie
Make a T-shirt
Strawberry picking
Mini golf night
Go bowling
Get McDonalds

Yellow Sticks
Go on a picnic
Go to the beach
Go to a splash park
Visit parks/playgrounds
Go to the Train Museum

Green Sticks
Movie night/popcorn and a sleepover
Art/craft project
Make bubbles
Play a board game
Wash bikes/scooters/cars
Camp out in the backyard
Sand castle contest
Scavenger hunt
Make a treasure map for a treasure hunt
Make ice cream
Water activity in the backyard
Finger Paint
Have a race
Make an obstacle course in the house or backyard.


I decided that I have to go back to Target and get one more bucket that we can put the completed activities in so we can see how much fun stuff we have done!
